🐗 Is Honda Africa Twin Reliable
Loud pipes are awesome when you crack the throttle and feel the thunder rise up from underneath you. Boy, howdy. But not on the street, in my opinion. I've always felt the loud pipes save lives argument falls apart pretty quickly when you weigh how much more people hate us for them.

The tenere is far heavier than the Africa twin. Offroad id definitely pick the lighter of the two. If you plan on a lot of long journey the yamaha would be less maintenance being shaft drive and more comfortable i think. I like both bikes but I feel they play two different roles. If you plan on a lot of offroad I'd look for something lighter
In the field if this is suspected to happen on a LiFePO4 outfitted Africa Twin, it might be possible to charge recover with the help of another 12V battery (albeit no current limit protection), or a very high end charger that has the "power supply functionality" built in for LiFePO4 batteries.
